Timber Harvesting
Journey Logging identifies suitable land areas with valuable timber resources and obtains the necessary agreements, permits and rights to harvest trees. We work with local and regional land owners.
Tree Felling and Extraction
Once the logging site is identified, trees are selectively cut down based on factors like species, size, and market demand. Journey Logging uses chainsaws, feller bunchers and other specialized equipment to clear the land. After felling, the logs are extracted from the site using skidders, forwarders, or other machinery.
Log Transportation
Harvested logs are transported from the land to additional locations by use of trucks or heavy equipment specially designed for log transportation. Journey Logging can get the harvested logs from point A to point B by any means necessary.
Log Sorting and Grading
Journey Logging sorts the logs based on their quality, size and intended use. This ensures that the logs are suitable for their intended purposes, such as producing lumber, pulpwood, or other wood products.
Sales + Distribution
Once the wood products are ready, Journey Logging sells them to various customers, such as wholesalers, manufacturers, or retailers.
